about

I wanted to create something different, something that would be much more meaningful and that would effectively improve other people's lives.

That's how Positively Simple was born!

Hi, I'm Lucy!

I am the owner and creator of Positively Simple - down to earth home & living, a holistic and personalised service that goes way beyond "just" organising your home!

I was born in Brazil with a very mixed-origin family, from English (yup, Gibson is my family name) to Italian, French, Portuguese and even German backgrounds, I feel like anywhere could be my home!

I am certified Early Years and Primary Teacher, formally trained in Montessori Education by MACTE and a certified Professional Home Organiser.

You will see that my essence is to constantly seek further training, education and personal development - I don't think I'll ever stop learning!

Besides having three Bachelor's degrees, two in Education and one in Social Communication and Media Studies, I am also certified by the Positive Discipline Association, have formal training in Montessori at Home and Montessori in the Early Years, amongst other courses, trainings and various professional development workshops done throughout the years.

Twenty years ago, back in Sao Paulo (Brazil), I started my career working in Education helping children and families at British and American international schools to grow with understanding, cooperation and love. When I retired myself early from teaching here in the UK in 2020, I worked in many different industries, usually in leadership roles as a team leader and supervisor - working at Madame Tussaud's London was one of my most fun experiences outside of school grounds!

But I wanted to create something different, something that would be much more meaningful and that would bring a true purpose to my life. And that's how Positively Simple was born!

If you want to know more about me and where I got my inspiration from, feel free to drop me an email or check my social media pages. I would love to connect with you!

A big part of my routine as a teacher was focused on organising and purposefully preparing the environment in order to promote learning, social interactions and life skills development.

And this is exactly what I replicate in the home setting, ensuring the home is a prepared environment that encourages and empowers everyone in the household to become the best version of themselves.

Being able to help people re-love their homes, simplify their routine and regain time to live meaningful experiences is what makes my work so rewarding!
